Mr Hurley’s Grand Cherokee Jeep was found in Aberporth car park

Dyfed-Powys Police have issued an update in the search for Alan Hurley.

Police have appealed for information after the 71-year-old from Cardigan has been reported missing.

Mr Hurley’s vehicle, a maroon Grand Cherokee jeep, was found in Aberporth car park. Police say they believe it has been parked there for the last few days.

And last night Dyfed-Powys Police released further information as they continue to search for Mr Hurley.

Officers say they have received reports of “possible sightings”, as well as CCTV footage of a man who fits the description of the missing man.

They say that the possible sightings happened in the early hours of Saturday morning (20 June).

Inspector Kaamil Garnie of Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Following the missing person appeal issued yesterday, we have received reports of possible sightings and CCTV of a person matching the description of Mr Hurley in the Aberporth area between 5am and 7am on Saturday morning, 20th June. 

“I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the Aberporth area between the times mentioned to contact police.”

Anyone who has seen Mr Hurley, or anyone who has information on his whereabouts, is asked to contact police by phoning 101.
