Weather in Aberystwyth
Ceredigion is set for a warm and sunny week

Ceredigion is set for a week of warm weather this week as the UK prepares for a heatwave.

All across Wales people are getting ready to bask in warm sunshine, with the Met Office predicting that temperatures are expected to hover around the mid-twenties later in the week.

Some parts of the UK are even expected to reach the mid-thirties, although Ceredigion is sadly not one of those places.

And while the weather today (22 May) is expected to be fairly grey and cloudy, with highs of 19 degrees expected, the forecasters have said that the rest of the week will be warm and sunny.

Thermometers are expected to read around 22 degrees on Tuesday, according to the Met Office – although it will be somewhat cloudy.

But come Wednesday and Thursday the county is expected to see highs of 26 degrees, with little or no clouds.

Then as we hit Friday the sun will begin to peter out, and the heat will begin to drop to around 22 degrees. There is even a slight chance of rain on Friday.
